Who: Miyoung Lee, acting producer of Early Edition, CBC radio Vancouver, married Bill Tereposky, in a service that embraced two cultures.
Where: The service was in the Gazebo Garden at the University of British Columbia (where they met as students nine years ago).
The Reception: Their guests gathered in the Salon at the University Golf Club.
The Challenge: Miyoung had lived in Canada since she was four years old, so she had to research the Korean traditions with the help of her mother.
A Surprise: Miyoung's mother unexpectedly arrived at the wedding in her own traditional Korean dress, which her daughter had never before seen.
Shared Experience: Both mother and daughter have now experienced being piggy-backed by their husbands on their wedding day and having their in-laws toss chestnuts and dates at them!
