Maxine McDonald & Matthew Jesuthasan

Maxine walked down the aisle at a small church in Pickering, Ont. As she began her march, escorted by her brother, Maxine was surprised to hear the sound of Matthew’s voice, as he performed a song for her.

RECEPTION: The Factory Lounge, a nightclub-themed venue hosted the guests. Hors d’oeuvres represented the couple’s heritage: Samosas from Sri Lanka and jerk shrimp from Jamaica. The cake was the bride’s favourite dessert – a giant cinnamon bun! Maxine received a second surprise from her groom during the reception when he and two groomsmen performed a dance to Neyo’s “Sexy Love” and Chris Brown’s “Forever”.

SPECIAL TRIBUTE: The bridal bouquet featured three small charms with pictures of the bride’s late father. The colourful bouquet was wrapped with one of his handkerchiefs.
